Saints News: Drew Brees, Pro Bowl Captain

The NFL announced the captains for January 26ths Pro Bowl game in Hawaii today. For the first ever “unconferenced” all-star game, one team will be captained by Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles, and Houston Texans DE J.J. Watt. The other team will have St. Louis Rams DE Robert Quinn and New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees.

Yet another high honor for one of the league’s elite Quarterbacks. Brees garners the title after one of his best statistical seasons. Finishing the year with 5,162 yards, 39 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions (his second lowest total since joining the Saints). Brees also completed 68.6% of his passes and recorded his third straight 5,000+ yard passing season and fourth of his career.

Brees has a litany of honors, awards, and accolades that made the choice very easy for the NFL to make Brees a Pro Bowl Captain.
